Masjid Al-Ahzab is one of the seven historically significant mosques in Madinah, deeply rooted in Islamic culture. It marks the site where idol-worshipping Arabs and Jewish tribes attacked the Muslims of Madinah. The Prophet ﷺ made a heartfelt du’a at the western corner of Jabal Sala, which led to the Muslims’ victory in the Battle of Ahzab. Also known as “Al-Fath,” this mosque is where the Al-Fath Surah of the Quran was revealed. Over time, it has been rebuilt multiple times, retaining its spiritual and historical importance.
